2010 GrantsCulture and the ArtsAllied Arts Foundation – an outright grant to support the Allied Arts 2010 campaign which benefits 20 leading arts organizations throughout Central Oklahoma and helps ensure a strong, dynamic cultural landscape. cmDance – an outright grant to provide general operating funds. Creative Oklahoma, Inc. – a challenge grant to support artistic participation in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2010 Creativity World Forum involving governmental and tribal leaders and collaborative performances of Oklahoma Native American Tribes. Edmond Historical Society – an outright grant to help fund the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse Programs so that an additional 1,300 school children can experience a lesson in history. National Repertory Orchestra Inc – an outright grant to support the Education and Outreach Program which allows 3,000 people from underserved populations of Summit County the opportunity to interact with musicians from the National Repertory Orchestra. Quartz Mountain Music Festival at Lone Wolf Inc. – an outright grant to help support Quartz Mountain Music Festival’s Performance Academics and Outreach Program, thus enhancing the impact of the Festival on the cultural landscape of the region. Ruminate Magazine Inc. – an outright grant to support Ruminate’s Opening Arts Series, to expand the week-long Youth Poetry Workshop, and to support the opening of the annual Art Fair to more community members through better publicity and enhanced business partnerships. The Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute – a challenge grant to help fund the transformation of a piece of property, which is located diagonally across from the Rose Garden and the graves of President and Mrs. Roosevelt, into “Freedom Court”. Toys and Action Figure Museum – an outright grant to help develop and implement educational programs at schools and at the museum, schedule action figure artist/sculptors in Oklahoma, and to encourage and educate young people in the industry artistry through workshops and special events and grow the collection. EducationCarl Albert State College Development Foundation – an outright grant to help finance repairs and updates for two bedrooms and the front circle drive of the Kerr County Mansion and Conference Center in Poteau, OK. Council on Foundations – an outright grant to support the programs of Council on Foundations. Edmond Public Schools Foundation, Inc. – an outright grant to help purchase a professional remote mic system for the Edmond North High School Auditorium; namely 4 Shore ULX Pro MicSystems transmitter and 4 Shore over-ear mic units with adapter, plus shipping and installation. McClelland Children’s Foundation – an outright grant to help support the upgrade of McClelland School’s 2 main entrance doors and 15 windows to provide greater energy conservation and environmental sustainability. Health ServicesArkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, Inc. – an outright grant to support the Foundation’s education and screening event program to offset the costs of supplies for additional screening. Duncan Regional Hospital Health Foundation, Inc. – an outright grant to support the “Kids Are Special People” program aimed at educating 3rd graders about a variety of health care and safety programs. Stroud Food Pantry Inc. – an outright grant to help repair the Food Pantry building and roof due to leaks sustained through the years. Human ServicesThe Christmas Connection – an outright grant to help purchase school uniforms and school supplies for distribution through the School Connections program to students from low-income families who do not have other resources for these items. Grace & Peace Fellowship – an outright grant to help finance the completion of the shelter’s renovations, to include the replacement of broken and dilapidated windows in the shelter. Rainbow Fleet, Inc. – an outright grant to help fund Rainbow Fleet’s Special Project Support which includes technical assistance and implementation of appropriate environments in child care centers and family child care homes that nurture young children ages zero to three years. United Methodist Committee on Relief – an outright grant to support the Haiti Emergency Relief. White Fields, Inc. – a challenge grant to sponsor the Art Therapy Program at White Fields. |
